SMART Team
Instructor: Mrs. Patishnock   
The Students, Mentors, And Researchers of Technology Team is a group of 4th & 5th grade students that meet to work with a wide range of technology available here at Anthony Burns Elementary School. First and foremost, they are students because they constantly learn new and better ways to accomplish tasks on the computers and other sources of technology. Secondly, they act as mentors because on occasion they join me in other classrooms to model the proper usage of the technology and assist younger students in the building on projects and such. Finally, these children are researchers because I look to them many times to find the best way to do something, or the best program to use, rather than me always telling them what will work best in a given situation. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or comments about this unique group of exceptional students!

SMART Team 2011!
Here is what SMART Team did last year. 
1. Monday, January 31st ~ Create a PPT describing yourself, save to the student shared drive, join the SMART Team web page and answer the first blog question.

2.  Monday, February 7 ~ continued on the PPT All About Me presentation, begin presentations, learn how to use the ABES video cameras, break into three groups for recycle video
3.  Monday, February 14 ~ finished PPT presentation, continued student presentations
4.  Monday, February 21 ~ finish presentations
5.  Monday, February 28 ~ learn how to video-practice around the school
6.  Monday, March 7~ Learn how to create pictures from PowerPoint slides, import into iPhoto then add into iMovie
7.  Monday, March 14 ~ Blog question #2, discuss digital story project, continue iMovie
8.  Monday, March 21 ~ Start individual/dual team video story (the students need to choose a song to tell a digital story), review recycle video contest-meet with group this week
9. Monday, March 28 ~ continue video story work
10. Monday, April 4 ~ continue video project 
11. Monday, April 11 ~ Continue video project
12. Monday, April 18 ~ continue video project
